The seminar will explore advanced topics in evolutionary multi-criteria optimization (EMO) and decision-making, with applications in complex engineering problems, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML). It will be delivered by Prof. Kalyanmoy Deb, inventor of the NSGA-II algorithm and a pioneer in the field of EMO. The course will introduce the foundations of optimization, classical and evolutionary algorithms, decision-making strategies, and give an initial overview on practical exercises using MATLAB and Excel.

Prof. Kalyanmoy Deb is a world-renowned authority in optimization, with over 32 years of academic and industrial experience. He has lectured at top institutions worldwide and received prestigious awards such as the Infosys Prize, IEEE Pioneer Award, and Bessel Research Award. He is a Fellow of IEEE, ACM, and ASME, with over 214,000 academic citations (h-index: 143).
